Sailing

Members can sail at Coniston Sailing Club all year round with club activities running from Easter to the end of October.

Coniston Water is perfect for leisure sailing with many opportunities to land, anchor and enjoy the fantastic views of the surrounding fells. The Bluebird cafe, Waterhead Hotel and Brantwood are on the lake shore.

We run club racing in series on most Wednesday nights during the active season. All classes of boat and all sailors are very welcome. The race format depends on the series and the weather. Cruiser and Dinghy races are scheduled at weekends on the calendar.

The Club is an RYA Training Centre. We run dinghy courses for our Junior members throughout the season. Adult sailing, First Aid, Powerboat and Instructor courses are run depending on demand and the availability of Instructors and boats.
