Set according to the RYA Member's age on the 1st January of the current year
| Full | 18 years and over |
| Junior | 6 to 17 years. (Under 16's must be joined with a close relative who is a Full, Honorary or Student member). |
| Infant | 0 to 5 years |
| Student | 18 to 24 years in full time education |
| Honorary | 18 years and over, approved by an AGM |
