CSC Roadmap Out of Lockdown - Step 4
Published 11:51 on 16 Jul 2021
The progression to Step 4 has been confirmed on 19th July 2021.
As I am sure you are aware the Government has announced that the progression to Step 4 on the Roadmap out of Lockdown will go ahead on 19th July 2021.
Therefore I can confirm all restrictions will be removed at Coniston Sailing Club from Monday 19th July 2021. This means that all areas of the clubhouse will be open as normal and all restrictions of use, including the one-way system, will be removed.
However, members are reminded that the Government's advice is that the wearing of face masks whilst moving around in an internal crowded area should continue.
The bar will resume normal service and duties will be available on the portal for members to volunteer for. We have installed a new till and training will be required so if you are volunteering for a bar duty then please take the time to ask for this training. The screens will remain in place at the bar counter.
The club sailing dinghies will be available for all members to use in line with the policy. The policy has been reviewed and updated, including the appointment of a Boat Manager who will take responsibility to ensure that the boats remain ready for training. We are delighted to confirm that Tim Entwistle has volunteered to take on this role. A copy of the policy is attached.
There will be supplies of hand sanitiser and cleaning products available but it is recommended that you bring your own in case supplies have run out. If so, please notify a member of the Management Committee so they can be replenished.
Owing to the number of members anticipated to visit the club and that the dinghy park is full, the club is not accepting temporary membership, other than guests of members, for the remainder of 2021. If you do bring guests to the club then please remember to purchase a temporary or social member ticket in line with the Membership Policy issued earlier this year. Go to Book Online on your portal and follow the directions there.
Covid Incident Process
The risk assessments and roadmap will be removed from the website but the Covid incident procedure will remain in force. A copy of this is attached to this mail.
As we are all aware the number of Covid cases continue to rise and all members are reminded that they should not attend the club if they have any of the known symptoms, have tested positive, or are having to self isolate owing to Government regulations.
If you, or any member of your family, have tested positive and have attended the club then please ensure you advise either the Commodore or Judy as soon as possible.
Whilst this final step is a relief to many of us it is clear that the Country is still in a pandemic. We would like to thank every member for the support and cooperation you have shown over the last 18 months, and know that we can continue to rely on everybody taking the right amount of care both at home and when you are at the Club.
Saturday 24th July at 6pm
Following the cancellation of the celebration on 26th June, Mike would like to invite all members to join him for a glass of Pims on Saturday 24th July from 6pm onwards. There is no requirement to book a ticket for this as we are no longer able to serve any food.
As you will know from a previous e-mail the Club SY Gondola Cruise will be going ahead on Saturday 7th August and tickets go on sale on Monday.
We hope to see you at one or both of these events and finally have a chance to meet many of our new members, and say hello to everyone.
See you all soon.
