CSC & Covid19 update 11 - email sent to members 08/07/20

Dear Member, Last weekend we went live with phase 2a at the club. A number of members braved the weather and stayed on their boats overnight. Everything worked OK, but the weather did mean that we had fewer people than we were originally expecting. At the Covid meeting on Monday we reviewed how the club would have managed if there had been more people. As a result of that review we have made a couple of changes that will come into effect from Friday 10thJuly. Firstly, we are going to open both sets of toilets, accessed via the south door. To make this work:
Secondly, the jetty hosepipe will be reconnected. This reduces the risk of congestion around the tap and makes it easier for cruiser members. Please wipe down the pipe after use in the same way that we ask you wipe down any surfaces that you have touched in the club. The outside areas of the club are fully open, including the club BBQ and picnic tables. The main jetty may be used for up to 10 boats (5 per side) and the other jetties are open. Risk assessments explaining their use are on your portal and are posted in the club. There are 35 car park tickets available daily and so far we have not exceeded 20 tickets booked on any day. Please continue to book a ticket when you are visiting by car. Neither we nor the RYA know when the Government will issue its next guidance. We have continued to plan to open further and risk assessments are written for the whole club. We have now made all of the modifications that we think are needed inside the clubhouse, and therefore believe that we will be able to react quickly when the Government issues its guidance. We hope that you enjoy your time at the club, and as always if you have any feedback that will improve how we operate in these new times let one of the Committee know. Thanks CSC Committee | ||
