As members will be aware Lockdown 2 ends at midnight tonight (1st December) and new Covid-19 rules come into effect from Wednesday 2nd December. These rules form part of the Governments Winter Plan and all areas of England will be placed in one of 3 tiers.
Coniston is in Tier 2.
Grassroots sport, including sailing and boating, will be allowed to resume from this date and clubs and marinas will be able to reopen.
Therefore, I can confirm that all club grounds (dinghy park, jetties, car park etc) are open from tomorrow morning. As the club season has come to the end, and to minimise the cleaning requirements, the decision has been made to revert to only the ladies (unisex again) toilet being open with access via the South door. Cleaning will be carried out weekly.
Members are reminded that it is their responsibility to follow government guidelines relating to the tier they live in, to continue to follow all social distancing and hand sanitising guidelines and to Book a Slot if they are visiting CSC. There is no requirement to pay for a temporary membership ticket for guests during the winter months but you must ensure that you include them when you Book a Slot.
Note - this position is based on the government & RYA guidelines as understood at this moment in time. We will keep you updated as and when anything changes.
