Covid update 12 - 25/9/20
Published 09:28 on 25 Sep 2020
Due to the rising number of COViD cases, the Government has brought in additional measures which will change some things at the club.
Firstly we have registered for our QR code. A poster has been placed at the main entry and exit doors of the club. This will allow you to scan the code if you have downloaded the NHS app.
Secondly we have made a number of changes to the way that the bar will operate. The new risk assessment is posted on the website, but in summary the changes are
- The bar will close at 10pm and the lounge will be locked. All members will have to have left the lounge by 10pm
- As members enter and leave the lounge area they must be wearing a face covering. This can be removed when seated at their table.
- There will be table service only. No one may approach the bar. Those serving will be wearing face coverings, and payment will be taken at the table. Any empty glasses will be collected from the table.
- To make a take away purchase you must be seated at a table.
Currently Coniston is not in an area subject to any further local restrictions. However some members who visit may be living in an area which is. If you are living in such an area please make sure that you are following Government guidance re socialising with others.
It is inevitable that we will have instances of positive cases at the club. We have documented the process that we will follow and have posted this on the news page of the website.
The season is nearing its end and we are investigating whether there could be an organised cruiser retrieval. More on this to follow.
Enjoy what is left of the season and stay safe.
