CSC SATURDAY SERIES 2010
Coniston sailing Club will be running a Saturday series of races through out the 2010 season for dinghies. The series will be targeted at those who have progressed through the junior training programme and are able to competently sail a course and have at least a basic understanding of the racing rules.
This will be a race series and not part of a training programme.
If a sufficient number of other members show an interest then a series within a series can be organised.
The dates are as follows:-
1st series 3/4/10 to 22/5/10
2nd series 12/6/10 to 31/7/10
3rd series 7/8/10 to 2/10/10 Excluding 28/08/10
Each series will comprise of 8 race days with 3 races each day starting at 1.30 pm That is 24 races in total with 15 results to count. Any races not sailed may be re programmed; if not the number of qualifying results will be reduced.
A diverse type of courses will be sailed it is anticipated that all starts will be water based and some races may be sailed back to back.
All races will be relatively short and generally sailed over compact courses in order to maintain interest for all competitors.
Prizes will be presented to 1st 2nd & 3rd placed competitors.
